Description
Robert Half is looking for a Finance Manager for a long-term contract opportunity in Princeton, NJ. As the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our financial operations, including managing accounts payable and receivable, monitoring cash balances, and preparing monthly financial reports. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in HR functions such as financial onboarding for all employees. This role will be part-time (10-15 hours a week) and will be a hybrid onsite schedule in Princeton, NJ.
Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Carry out data entry tasks and closely monitor cash balances to optimize financial performance.
Communicate transfer needs and execute transfers as required to meet business needs.
Conduct monthly reconciliation and payroll operations to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Manage tenant relations and transactions to maintain positive relationships and financial stability.
Monitor budgets and collaborate with external accountants to prepare monthly financial reports.
Reconcile bank and investment accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Collaborate with the controller to record month-end entries and prepare financial statements.
Contribute to the preparation of the annual budget for the next fiscal year to support strategic planning.
Offer support during audit preparation and insurance contract reviews to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
Carry out HR functions including financial onboarding for all employees and serving as a point of contact for benefits inquiries.
Utilize various skills such as Accounting Software Systems, ADP – Financial Services, CapEx, ERP – Enterprise Resource Planning, About Time, Accounting Functions, Auditing, Budget Processes, Compliance, Payroll, Compensation & Benefits, and QuickBooks to effectively perform job duties.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
Strong understanding of financial principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Experience with HR functions and benefits administration is a plus.
