Finance Manager
Our client, located in Detroit, MI, is looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join their team on an interim basis. The ideal candidate has previous not-for-profit experience.
The day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Coordinate, analyze and report financial performance to Management
Ensure proper monthly and annual close of financial records, including oversite of financial statements and account reconciliations
Manage the organization’s general insurance claims and coordinate with the insurance company and attorneys
Lead the review, execution and tracking of the Company’s leases
Support audit and tax functions, coordinate activities with outside audit firms
Requirements
Bachelor or Business Administration degree with a specialization in Finance or Accounting
Not-for-Profit experience, required
Proficient in all aspects of corporate accounting and all pertinent GAAP, Not-for-Profit rules and regulations including OMB Uniform Grant Guidance compliance
Excellent communication skills are essential, particularly in regard to presenting the results of analyses to management
Outstanding knowledge of electronic spreadsheets and accounting systems
