Robert Half is currently working with a client seeking a Finance Director for a Private Equity backed company in the SAAS industry in Los Angeles. As part of the management team, the Finance Directo must have strong leadership, management, technology, analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills.

What you get to do every single day

• Analyze and monitor forecasting and budgeting models

• Oversee the preparation of all financial reports

• Oversee daily operations of the finance and accounting department

• Develop five-year business plans with department managers

• Aid in developing department goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures- Decide on benchmarks for comparing the operating and financial performance

• Perform financial analysis for contract negotiations and product investment decisions

• Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget

• Direct, review, and prepare budget management and financial planning functions

• Comply with all budgetary reporting requirements, including local, state, and federal

• Develop and monitor an organizational structure in order to accomplish department goals and objectives

• Prepare financial outlooks and forecasts

This is a true operational, business impacting role, where you’ll partner with the LA based CEO to aid in the financial and accounting decision making.

You should have a Bachelors Degree with a CPA ideal, and at least 7+ years in accounting and finance with some exposure to operations and tax. Any experience in the SAAS/Software or Tech industries is ideal.

Requirements – Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting

• 10+ years of finance and accounting experience

• MBA or CPA is preferred

• Experience with multiple accounting and financial reporting systems

• Prior experience with finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

• Very detail oriented and expert analytical thinking skills

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills required
