Description Robert Half is working with a fast-growing company to hire a dedicated Financial Analyst. You will oversee financial modeling on multiple financial products and measure, analyze, and forecast performance in conjunction with operating plans in this role. We will be depending on you to advise management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and prepare reports for management. As a team member, you will serve as a key business partner in areas like forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management. This Financial Analyst role, which is a long-term contract / temporary employment opportunity, is based in the Buffalo, New York, area. We seek someone who has internal drive and strong potential for professional growth and development.
How you will make an impact
Produce and monitor forecasting reports
Manage monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required
Create effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and recommendation support
Work with contacts in Accounting and Operations to support business plans
Perform extensive research on the underlying internal and external drivers that are affecting performance and trending
Work closely with Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close process
Support weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings and P& L forecasting
Operate with key senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization
Flexible individual capable of handling large amounts of information and managing expectations
Review annual performance by comparing actual results to their expectations
Study performance to date and examine potential risks and opportunities Requirements – Spreadsheet and ERP system experience suggested
navigating basic office equipment and protocols experience
Experience with financial data management processes & systems, e.g. Oracle/Hyperion/SAP Business Objects/SFDC/Tableau- Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience preferable)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Firm understanding of problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
Able to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds
Active problem-solver who listens for customer cues and actively resolves problems with grace and integrity
BA/BS degree in finance or a related field
