Robert Half Looking for Director of Finance at Savannah, GA Full Time

Description Robert Half is currently working with a client seeking a Director of Finance. The director of finance must have strong leadership, management, technology, analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills in order to be a part of the management team. Your responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget

• Ensure adherence to budgetary reporting requirements, including local, state, and federal

• Oversee insurance and risk management

• Oversee all hiring aspects of finance staff, including training and retention

• Prepare financial analysis for contract negotiations and product investment decisions

• Take the lead on all financial and accounting operations

• Maintains and reviews budgeting and forecasting models

• Manage the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts

• Direct all financial reporting preparation

• Design, establish, and maintain an organizational structure to effectively accomplish the departments goals and objectives

• Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance

• Assist in establishing short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures

• Create and manage five-year business plans along with department managers

• Own financial planning and budget management functions Requirements – 10+ years of finance and accounting experience

• MBA or CPA is preferred

• Experience with multiple financial and accounting reporting systems

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting

• High analytical and extremely detailed

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Strong knowledge of cost control, budgeting, accounting, and finance principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
