Description
Our reputable client is seeking a Director of Finance to join the company. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, management, technology, analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills as part of the management team. If you are an experienced Director of Finance looking for a challenging role at an established company, this may be the role for you.
Responsibilities
Manage the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts
Review and maintain budgeting and forecasting models
Decide on benchmarks for comparing the operating and financial performance
Direct, review, and prepare budget management and financial planning functions
Comply with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements
Take the lead on all financial and accounting operations
Develop financial analysis prior to contract negotiations and product investment decisions
Hire and train employees, especially finance staff, and manage retention
Create and manage five-year business plans along with department managers
Supervise all financial reporting preparation and accounting department
Direct risk and insurance management
Manage the organizational structure of the department in order to achieve goals and objectives
Compare monthly operating results against budget
Aid in developing department goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting and CPA are required.
10+ years of finance and accounting experience
Experience with multiple financial and accounting reporting systems
Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Strong analytical thinking and a detail-oriented mindset
High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
