Description
Robert Half is currently working with a client seeking a Director of Finance. The director of finance must have strong leadership, management, technology, analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills in order to be a part of the management team. If you are an experienced Director of Finance looking for a challenging role at an established company, this may be the role for you.
How you will make an impact
Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance
Oversee daily operations of the finance and accounting department
Review and maintain budgeting and forecasting models
Develop financial analysis prior to contract negotiations and product investment decisions
Oversee insurance and risk management
Manage the hiring, training, and retention of finance staff
Work with department managers to develop five-year business plans
Develop and monitor an organizational structure in order to accomplish department goals and objectives
Own financial planning and budget management functions
Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget
Supervise all financial reporting preparation
Prepare financial outlooks and forecasts
Comply with all budgetary reporting requirements, including local, state, and federal
Aid in developing department goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
-Overseeing all tax related areas
Requirements
Strong Microsoft Excel skills required
Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
Very detail oriented and expert analytical thinking skills
Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Experience with multiple financial and accounting reporting systems
MBA or CPA is preferred
15+ years of finance and accounting experience
