Robert Half AccounTemps Looking for Accounts Receivable Clerk at Chesterton, Indiana Full Time

If you’re an efficient worker with experience as an Accounts Receivable (A/R) detail oriented, Robert Half has a career-building opportunity for you to consider. In this role, you will enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. This is a long-term contract / contract Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Chesterton, Indiana area.

Your responsibilities

• Square bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in diverse ledgers
• Verify codes and documents
• Execute a number of foundational accounting tasks in agreement with normal procedures, including general accounting tasks
• Process payments and compile segments of annual reports and monthly closings in compliance with GAAP
• Communicate, reinforce, and support the values, culture, and mission of the organization
• Locate delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g. skip-tracing, phone contact, written correspondence, and make arrangements for payment
• Assist in setting up payment plans; contact clients to help resolve payment issues
• Offer information to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders

  Requirements – Experience with ERP systems

• Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
• Foundational knowledge in Billing Collection
• Proficiency in billing
• Solid understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel
• 2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable
• AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field
• Proven analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
