Basic Responsibilities:
As our Finance Manager you will provide complete leadership of our project accounting and contract billing activities for our firm. This includes Public, Private, Federal Civil Engineering and Construction Management Programs across the country.
This person will work closely with our Departmental and Divisional Leadership to ensure proper billing/invoicing and the implementation of forward-thinking strategies that enhance and continuously improve our business/financial processes
Manage and consistently develop a team of over 20 billing specialists and project accountants in strategically placed offices Nationwide
Train staff on industry standard tools – Deltek Vision/VantagePoint, ADP, MS Excel etc.
Own and consistently improve contractual compliance, cost management, billability, project performance, budget development, and proposal support
Evaluate unbilled costs, accounts receivable and cash received
Provide recommendations that result in cost reduction, profit, and process improvement
Serve as the subject matter expert on project finance to various stakeholders
Responsible for financial performance of multiple accounts to include long range plans, monthly forecasts
Identify and effectively communicate areas of concern and offer solutions to complex problems
Provide support for FP&A budgeting, financial reporting and cost control
Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years of progressively increasing responsibility in the areas of contract compliance, financial controls, budgeting, billing, accounts receivable and people management
Experience Managing Finances for contracting firms in excess of $100 Million in annual revenue
Must have experience using Federally approve accounting systems – Deltek Vision/VantagePoint highly preferred
Experience leading and managing highly effective teams – lead by example
Expert MS Excel experience, Highly computer literate
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Confidence to provide expert recommendations to a team of highly engaged, experienced business leaders
Preferred Experience:
Deltek Certification
Experience in Architectural, Engineering, Construction (AEC) industry
