Summary
The Manager Finance is responsible for owning key finance processes such as budgeting, estimates, reporting, month-end close, and performing various ad-hoc analyses. Will be responsible for understanding financials, analyzing, and recommending best practices to help improve results over time.
What You’ll Do
Manage daily activities of staff
Oversee staff selection, performance management, goal setting, training, and development
Develop and supervise team members to motivate positive attitude, career growth, and strong performance results
Evaluate workloads, determine priority, and implement changes to continuously improve productivity and efficiency
Partner with functional or business leader to drive improved OPEX, profitability or specific key performance indicators
Own key closing responsibilities for the area of support including helping close the books, provide analysis on yearly or monthly trends and create commentary on variances versus budget
Liaison with the International Headquarters and Banner Offices regarding issues, problems, concerns, and questions
Prepare forecasts, budgets, and strategic plans
Identify cost control opportunities and recommend strategies for productivity
Understand CAPEX spend for the area of support and look to drive improved KPIs or productivity from the investment
Review monthly key economic indicators
Take the lead on monthly closing call to discuss results for the month or quarter, and provide commentary on the drivers of the results
Analyze sales mix, product mix, and gross profit margins
Understand accounting principles applied and their effect on the overall results
Manage, support, research, and report special financial projects as assigned
Assist with due diligence activities related to new acquisitions and related integration of target into the corporate structure

What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
7+ years of experience in finance or related functions, balanced between cost, general accounting, budgeting, and information systems responsibilities
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Proficiency using common software packages such as Oracle, Hyperion (TM1), and MS Office including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
Strong financial analysis skills working with all aspects of financial statements and internal reporting as well as an understanding of best practices
Attention to detail, superior analytical capability, and excellent verbal and written communications
Strong prioritization skills
Flexible and able to multitask daily
