The Director of Order to Cash & Inventory will lead and direct the activities in Order to Cash & Inventory across the entire US operation, which includes all Ahold Delhaize USA brands and Retail Business Services (RBS). (Approx. $45B + related margin for all Ahold Delhaize USA brands and RBS).
This position is responsible for: ensuring that the processes in the area are performed in the most efficient/cost-effective manner in order for the company to maximize profitability, providing accounting expertise and advice throughout the organization, and leading and overseeing all Finance Operations across the function for RBS and all Ahold Delhaize USA brands and other statutory entities, leading the integration efforts for process standardization and continuous improvement for the respective business process cycle of accountability across the entire US of both legacy companies and all of legacy IT landscape.
In addition, this position: drives the implementation of standard KPIs across the sub-functional areas of accountability, inclusive of operational efficiency, effectiveness, quality, and customer loyalty metrics, oversees and partners with their respective counterparts at the third-party service delivery vendor for all areas of operational accountability, establishes ways of working and executes leadership in oversight of end-to-end operations (inclusive of offshore personnel), drives and leads cultural integration with third-party and between the two post-merger legacy organizations of oversight, act as key US relationship lead for area of responsibility with the Global Organization, and be accountable for all internal controls, including but limited to internal and key controls over financial reporting as well as assuring the operationalization of and adherence to all ADA existing accounting policies in compliance with IFRS.
Additional Responsibilities:
Responsible for both the onshore and offshore process work, which represents strategic, business facing work, as well as the captive process work in both the AUSA and DA existing process structure. Applies high level of expertise and core competencies gathered across large segments of the US companies (RBS and Brands) or function to solve problems.
Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial report preparation, as well as the overall integrity of the financial statements.
Ensure accounting practices are in compliance with US GAAP, SEC and IFRS requirements.
Key control ownership within the Accounting Department for purposes of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and responsible for developing a structure and process to maintain the corporate-wide compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
Accountable for the accurate creation and/or review of budgets and forecasts for department GAE and income accounts.
Stay abreast of industry practices and benchmarking for opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Department. Autonomously defines long-range business plan in a manner that considers all key cross functional intersection points and dependencies.
Continually find ways to streamline job processes, apply accounting theories and methodologies, reduce unnecessary costs, increase cash flow, improve labor productivity, and lead/drive cross-functional projects.
Interpret accounting regulations, making recommendations for accounting changes based on such interpretations, as well as consider internal control structures and key controls that support Sarbanes-Oxley reporting requirements.
Direct and lead cross-functional projects and/or workgroups. Promotes an effective project / functional environment. Plans and assigns broad objectives across multiple projects / functions and ensures implementation through other leaders. Actively leads through vision, providing leadership for project / function through direct application of expertise, through consultation with others and/or through leadership team. Manages their organization through one or more managers.
Provides leadership, mentoring, guidance and professional training to managers and associates.
Makes decisions by applying advanced principles, theories and concepts requiring extensive expertise and business acumen. Receives strategic direction for long-range goals in the form of broad business objectives. Autonomously defines long-range business plan.

Qualifications:
12+ years of experience across multiple business units in finance operations including, but not limited to, Order to Cash and Inventory domains.
5+ years leadership and supervisory experience in a finance operations organization.
Experience driving large teams to align with organization’s strategic pillars and roadmap.
Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree preferred or equivalent experience in Business / Business Management and/or Accounting.
Strong expertise in inventory accounting (store and warehouse accounting). Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with ability to lead operations and support strategic programs. Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills; C-Suite high impact communication
Strong strategic mindset with the ability to partner seamlessly across multiple brands, and counterparts across the organization.
Lean certified and ability to drive process efficiency across assigned domains within Finance Operations.
Historical performance of meeting/exceeding KPIs and delivering results .
Prior experience working in a Shared Service organization highly preferred (onshore & offshore)
ERP implementation experience preferred.
Experience driving digital transformation within the finance space preferred.
