Primary responsibilities include strategic data analysis including : month / quarter / year end close, budgeting / forecasting, business analytics to identify and drive improvements, and internal reporting, with 1-2 direct reports.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for assisting the Finance Director in the strategic planning process including : building budgets, forecasts, and explaining variances to budgets / forecasts on a monthly basis by district / business
Support director in the developing annual strategic and financial business plans for the assigned functions, ensuring they are focused on achieving profit targets and operational efficiency while ensuring the linkage between the plan and longer-term growth goals.
Responsible for assisting the Finance Director in managing month, quarter and year end close for the distribution business (i.
e. accruals, manage P&L, B / S)
Analyzing and comparing monthly and quarterly financial results, metrics and key performance indicators against plan and other internal benchmarks
Responsible for directives provided by Finance Director on internal / external audit preparation
Responsible for ongoing projects and initiatives assigned by Finance Director
Financial Analyses of business results and projects as needed
Monthly internal financial reporting
Managing rebates program from suppliers
Managing the monthly and annual commission calculation and true up processes for Sales
Lead in the calculations of annual bonus
Identify potential process improvements and capabilities to increase consistency, transparency and reliability in the business
Manage team of financial analysts
CANDIDATE SUMMARY
Required Experience
A minimum of 5+ years of experience in a financial analysis & accounting reporting role
Solid technical skills and ability to learn new systems Navision, Microsoft office (excel, word, power point) and Google tools
Meet tight timelines in a fast paced environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience working with large amounts of data
Experience with presenting data to the Leadership team
Experience managing large projects
Understanding of AR / AP and collections
Required Leadership Traits and Characteristics
Effective communication skills with all levels of an organization

Formal Education, Qualifications or Training
