RemX – Accounting & Finance Staffing Looking for Payroll Specialist at Anaheim, CA Full Time

Our client in the Anaheim area, has an immediate need for a Payroll Specialist for a contract opportunity. Monday – Friday -40 hours a week. $25 to 27/hour DOE

Job Responsibilities

• Manage and process bi-weekly payroll for 150 plus employees.
• Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses and deductions.
• Stay up to date with federal, state and local payroll laws and regulations.
• Prepare and file payroll tax reports including quarterly and annual filings.
• Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits and deductions.
• Collaborate with HR team to ensure accurate and timely onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve payroll-related issues.
• Experience with compiling reports, preparing reports and spreadsheets.
• Maintain payroll records.
• And other duties as needed.

Job Qualifications

• Minimum of four years payroll experience
• Bilingual Spanish – Read and Write
• Bachelors’ Degree preferred.
• Strong understanding payroll law, regulations, including tax laws, especially California.
• Proficient in payroll software and MS Office, particularly Excel
• High attention to detail
