At Related Management Company (RMC), Assistant Property Managers support our properties and teams in a critical way – you represent RMC to residents, employees, and agency partners. In this role, you’ll assist with the day-to-day operations of our luxury high-rise, totaling 271 units, in DTLA, CA. Essential Functions:
Assist in leading property management operations to ensure financial targets and compliance standards are met.
Support leasing team; conduct leasing and move-in activities for property as needed.
Manage annual re-certification process, ensuring on-time, and accurate completion of 20% of the total units.
Conduct property and unit inspections to ensure compliance with applicable program standards.
Utilize the property management system to oversee all resident transactions.
Issue and deliver resident notices as needed – e.g., late payments, returned checks, etc.
Collect rents as manager-on-duty.
Oversee building staff as manager-on-duty.
Manage invoice and payment processing.
Assist in training property team members to maximize performance.
Assist with resident relations and requests, including conflict resolution, while maintaining a strong sense of community.
Handles resident issues, including neighbor disputes, maintenance repairs, and resident requests. Prepares incident reports pertaining specifically to resident issues, in accordance with Company standards. Excellent communication, interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills.
Support site and office operations as assigned by manager.
Administrative functions including, but not limited to: answering and screening telephone calls, typing and proofreading materials, preparing routine correspondence, scheduling appointments, screening and distributing incoming mail, confidential communication, case notes, surveys and correspondence through software system, schedule meeting rooms and insuring deposits are paid and contracts are signed.
Building strong relationships with vendors and processing payments.
Implementing leases in accordance with fair housing
Annual recertification experience
Assists the Property Manager complete and processing income and asset verifications, rent calculations, and household certifications
Compensation:
$30 – $32 / hour

Qualifications:
Minimum of 1-3 years of residential property manager or customer service experience.
Management Experience in Property Management or Hospitality highly desirable.
Strong written and organization skills.
Proficient in Microsoft
Ability to read and create profit and loss statements, variance reports and budgets required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends as required.
Yardi experience, preferred.
