Role Overview:
District Manager

This opportunity is for District Manager reporting to Regional Director of Operations (MS). This role will be field/remote based in the Indianola, MS market.
Role responsibilities:
Ensures stores comply with security, safety, and loss prevention procedures, as well as food service safety standards.
Spends most of their time (roughly 80%) in the field to ensure each location will meet expectations as well as individual budgets and company goals.
Maintains appearance and safety of all c-store & food locations by performing regular operational inspections.
Ensures that management coverage is in place and store schedules are set according to the labor model and budget.
Completes regular corporate reporting and ensures store management completes daily store paperwork in a timely fashion.
Ensures fuel pricing is updated daily at all stores and competitor fuel price entries are being completed in a timely fashion.
Responsible for recruiting and hiring management-level store personnel, and ensures stores are adequately staffed.
Conducts formal performance reviews with Store Managers on an annual basis; provides regular, ongoing feedback.
Serves as a positive, professional role model; coaches and develops managers and assistant managers.
Regularly assesses and has plans to address talent gaps, for both existing and or future leadership needs.
Plans in place to teach, coach, educate and develop Store Managers empowering them to achieve intended outcomes.
Ensures stores are compliant with state and local licensing requirements (e.g., occupancy, health & safety permits; tobacco, alcohol, and lottery licensing).
Ensures store management is maintaining appropriate inventory levels and orders are placed on a regular schedule.
Takes proactive measures to prevent and resolve inventory losses caused by theft or accounting errors and investigates significant shrink issues.
Ensures stores are maintaining updated planograms and promotional marketing per the direction of the Marketing team.
Reviews out-of-stocks and corrects stocking issues as needed – stores should always be well-stocked with merchandise.
Ensures store pricing is up-to-date and corrects pricing issues as needed by working with the Pricebook team
Responsible for overall profitability of store locations including sales, gross profit dollars and margins, shrink, payroll, and expenses.
Experience Qualifications:
3-4 years multi-unit site experience in a retail, c-store, or quick serve food operations environment.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint along with the ability to analyze metric data including reports and P&L statements.
