Redbubble was born in 2006 in Melbourne with a simple mission. Give independent artists a meaningful new way to sell their creations. In today’s uncertain world, we’re helping artists and designers across the planet to generate an income stream. Last year we paid over $100m in artist royalties.
Our teams work hard to make sure that Artists creations are discovered, purchased, appreciated and shared, and with over 60 million items that’s no small feat. So no matter what you do at the company, you can feel good knowing that you make it possible for creative people to connect with their customers through designs they love.
Over the years Redbubble has continued to grow and we listed on the ASX in 2016. We now have over 300 people working across the globe. Our Head Office is in Melbourne however the majority of our team operates from San Francisco, New York and Berlin.
The Team & Role
Reporting to the Global Head of FP&A (based in Australia) but with a strong dotted line to the Supply Chain function (based in San Francisco), you will have a broad set of accountabilities, covering all financial partnering activities for the team with a focus on driving commercial outcomes and value.
Being a multi geographic ecommerce business, there is complexity in our financial activities and you will work closely with our Head Office finance team. Excellent interpersonal skills will be essential to your success as you interact across the business.
What you’ll do
Partnering with the Global Supply Chain function, your responsibilities will cover:
Ownership of budgeting and forecasting support
Support the Supply Chain team in building planning tools to enable optimal fulfillment and logistics strategy decisions
Lead the development of financial models and advanced analytical tools that aid in key decision making
Drive creation, implementation and reporting of financial performance metrics
Performing robust financial analysis, being able to outline and succinctly present key drivers, opportunities and risks
Development of business cases, both collaborating with and challenging others as you work to the best value outcome
Alignment and continuous improvement of business driver metrics with financial reporting
Ad hoc business assistance as required, supporting the the ongoing management of key initiatives and investments
Acting as the financial link between the functional team and the head office finance team located in Melbourne
What you’ll bring
With at a proven track record in a similar role, you are looking to apply your skills in an organization that is genuinely doing good in the world. You love working with non finance people and really enjoy partnering with others to drive tangible business results.
In addition you have:
Proven experience in managing senior stakeholders in a commercial support environment
Strong ability to build financial models and ensure that they can be utilized by non finance stakeholders
Worked within a low margin, high volume, complex business or cost center
Ideally worked with inventory and understand inventory management and movement
Understand the finance based requirement at month end and the relationship between function and finance.
Strong data mining, manipulation and visualization skills
Excellent problem solving, written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work to a high level of detail and accuracy
A desire to roll the sleeves up and really understand the business
Strong commercial acumen
