As a Cash Management Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining the company’s cash flow and banking activity, performing daily treasury entries, and completing monthly reporting and reconciling. As a key member of the Accounting Team, the Cash Management Accountant provides ongoing support for the company’s systems that link to financials and banking transactions, including Wells Fargo and Microsoft Dynamics, ensuring that process efficiencies and company goals can be achieved.

What you will do

• Perform daily cash position management and reporting, ensuring timely processing and communication is provided to accounting groups
• Prepare daily ledger entries, escalating concerns to leadership
• Processes all incoming and outgoing banking transactions (both US and foreign currency), including ACH payments, wire transfers, deposit and disbursement accounts, positive pay, checks, and lockbox operations
• Initiate fund shifts and transfers according to organizational needs and to meet cash requirements
• Monitor the organization’s cash position by recording transfers, deposits, or other transactions
• Responsible for check inquiry and issuing stop payments
• Partner with internal staff to ensure cash transactions are properly reported
• Partner with leadership on the administration and maintenance of the company’s credit card program, ensuring successful setup and communication for new accounts as well as timely inactivation for accounts needing to be closed
• Process month end account reconciliations and resolution of cash discrepancies
• Partner with accounting and finance team to assist with fiscal year end audit
• Complete research on cash management errors and inquires, escalating with leadership to ensure a successful and timely resolution
• Accomplish accounting and organizational goals by completing related results and meeting deadlines
• Collaborate with leadership on improving processes to reduce costs and build time efficiencies
• Monitor and ensures compliance with rules and regulatory requirements related to the company’s accounting policies and practices
• Provide backup and support for other accounting positions as needed
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the company and operational needs

Things you will need

• Associates degree in accounting or equivalent work experience
• 2+ years of experience in a cash management or treasury role
• Prior experience in foreign currency (FX) accounts and intercompany transactions
• Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel skills required
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred
• Solid understanding of cash application, processing, and reconciliation of accounts
• Proven working knowledge of general accounting principles and accounting systems
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and written to both internal and external customers
• Proven financial acumen and analytical mindset with the ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections
• Ability to perform accurate mathematical calculations sufficient to compare and verify data to locate errors
• Ability to interpret and analyze reports and banking records sufficient to resolve problems
• Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality
• Proven problem solver that can successfully and efficiently identify and solve problems by gathering and analyzing information and recommending alternative solutions
• Ability to work independently and prioritize duties with a strong sense of urgency; self-directed to accomplish assignments and meet deadlines
• Ability to work well under pressure, successfully navigate ambiguity and succeed in a rapidly changing, fast-paced, often unpredictable environment with multiple competing priorities
