Qualifications: High school degree or GED is required. Associate’s degree (AA) or working towards Bachelor’s degree is preferred 1-2 years of Finance/Accounting or Accounts Payable experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience Proficiency in Excel Proficiency in data entry and management Project Management software program and/or SAP experience a plus Experience with a design/production/construction firm is a plus Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment Flexibility to move on short notice from task to task as priorities change Willingness to work overtime and/or on weekends with short notice Consistent attendance is a job requirement 1-3 Years Knowledge of GAAS/GAAP and their application in the accounting and operations systems and the other primary functions.
Responsibilities: Responsibilities Responsible for the daily activities of Accounts Payable by providing financial, administrative, and clerical support to the Finance and Administration team in the Creative Department. Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to, manning invoice email accounts, updating and maintaining records, and interfacing with internal/external clients. Responsibilities The Finance Clerk reports to the Accounting Supervisor: Daily management of invoice email accounts. Corresponds and provides information to department and vendor inquires such as payment status and details. Tracks down invoice approvals. Logs payment waivers from General Contractors and informs Finance Coordinators to release payment based on USH Creative Standard Operating Procedures. Logs and files Notice to Owners (20-Day Preliminary Notices). Compiles, updates, and maintains AP log information and reporting in order to capture discounts and provide Quarter Close invoice updates. Maintains electronic project files according to corporate retention and audit policies and procedures. Provides supporting documentation for audits. Performs various ad hoc analyses and research for project financial personnel. Provide clerical and accounting support for the Finance Team.Comments/Special InstructionsAccounting clerk temp
