ProGroup Looking for Associate Finance Manager at San Diego, CA Full Time

Associate Finance Manager

Preparation of financial reporting including budget analysis and ad hoc reporitng.

Research on new accounting pronouncements, cost analysis of cusomter contract and plant performance, standard and complex accounting issues and analyze potential impact on the plant’s financial reporting. Provide periodic updates to management, subsidiaries, and other stakeholders regarding technical accounting matters.

Prepares various financial reports and statements.
Identifies, based on information in financial or regulatory reports
Information may include budgets, business cases, impact studies, audit findings, footnotes and regulatory schedules.
Interfaces with various departments, senior management. Represents leadership staff at meetings in their absence.
Responsible for assignments that frequently involves strict deadlines.
May have staff assigned to them as it relates to project work.
Assists with special projects and any other duties or assignments as requested by management.
Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required. Master’s Degree preferred.
• Four (4) to six (6) years of experience in related field with extensive background in financial reporting (internal/external). Experience in large accounting or public accounting is considered a plus.
• Experience in leading projects, coordinating efforts that involve other people and demonstrated leadership skills.
• Certification CPA is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate financial information to financial and non-financial individuals.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and analyze accounting and business issues.
• Subject matter expert with high degree of technical expertise in area of specialty (e.g., GAAP and SAP accounting).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $82,500.00 – $95,000.00 per year
