Job Summary

Responsible for meeting or exceeding customer expectations by managing the overall operations of our Texarkana facility. Assure that the all areas of the division function effectively.

Responsible for equipment and facilities maintenance.

As the senior operations manager, interacts with the president, and counterparts in sales and in other facilities, financial, IT and HR to ensure that adequate resources and controls are in place to meet customer and company expectations.

Responsible for operating plant in a safe manner to protect personnel and equipment.

Responsible for budgeting, cost controls, shop efficiency and delivery performance. Maintains adequate controls over spending by remaining within budgetary limits and capital spending authority.

Maintain and improve the level of profitability of the division.

Manages the staff development process, including employee selection, performance appraisals, discipline, training plans and other requirements. Appraises performance of individual staff members on a regular basis.

Oversee the Quality process within the division.

Provides technical support to customers and the sales department.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A BS in Mechanical Engineering or other engineering disciplines with appropriate experience.

Heavy machine metal working background and maintenance management experience is preferred. A competency in roll service technology is beneficial.

At least 5 years management experience.

Excellent interpersonal, communications, organization, analysis and planning skills required.

A problem solver, able to handle multiple tasks, a good negotiator, and the ability to make effective presentations are all necessary.

Must have computer competency as it relates to operations, manufacturing and work processes, and individual competencies in Microsoft suite of programs (i.e. Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, etc.).

Must speak, read, and write English.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
