Potvin Construction Ltd. Looking for Accounts Receivable Clerk at Rockland, CA Full Time

Our company is currently seeking an Account Receivable Clerk to join our team! You will be responsible for preparing and examining financial records for our company.

Primary responsibilities:

• Receive and process receipts for third-party payments (cash, check, credit card, etc.).
• Post and reconcile customer payments in general ledgers.
• Record A/R data in financial reports (Balance Sheet, income statement, etc.).
• Review credit balances, refunds, and adjustments; update corporate billing records accordingly.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of financial records and customer information.
• Coordinate payment arrangements for outstanding and late accounts.
• Escalate accounts to Delinquent Accounts or collection agencies when necessary.
• Prepare daily bank reconciliations.
• Assist with month end closing, accounting entries and reporting.
• Process employee expenses.
• Review processes and procedures to improve efficiency.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree in accounting or related field is a plus.
• Proven experience as an accounts receivable clerk and in a general accounting position.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software. Experience with an ERP system is an asset. (MS AX Dynamics).
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with customers and internal teams.
• Bilingualism (English/French) is an advantage.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Problem-solving aptitude and a proactive approach to addressing issues.
• Integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
