About the rolePlenty is looking for a Finance Manager to join our Finance team. The Finance team is responsible for overseeing financial operations, strategic planning, and analysis to help drive the company’s growth by partnering with business leaders and refining a scalable financial and operating infrastructure.
In this role , you will primarily support our R&D (Research & Development) function (Plant Science, Engineering, Product Management, and Software / Data), providing financial insights, driving cost optimization, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

What you’ll doSupport both operational and capital project financial forecasts for Plenty’s R&D organizationWork closely with project managers and engineers to ensure accurate project accounting, including tracking capital expenditures, project milestones, and associated costsDevelop and maintain financial models to evaluate the financial feasibility and profitability of R&D projects, including cost-benefit analyses, ROI calculations, and scenario planningIn collaboration with business leaders, ensure accurate and timely preparation, review and consolidation of budgets.
Track spending against budget and provide regular reports to leadershipIdentify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
Analyze project costs, identify cost drivers, and implement strategies to optimize spending while maintaining high quality researchPrepare regular financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsProvide financial insights and guidance on resource allocation, investment decisions, and business strategy to key stakeholders and senior management.
