Leads on Budget activities for the Agency, while supporting policy and procedure through the budgeting and financial model process
This position is salaried, exempt.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field and Master’s Degree strongly preferred or equivalent. 4 years experience at a similar position working with budgets and analytics. Knowledge in forecasting, qualitative and quantitative data analysis, cost-benefit analysis and budgeting while contributing to critical functions relating to PPRM’s finance and growth strategies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist with the collaboration process between Finance, all department heads and budget managers to develop annual budgets and monthly re-forecasts
- Perform analysis, build models, and drive process related to debt and equity financings, customer deal pricing, cost saving initiatives, and other business strategy
- Design financial models and improve existing models including new project business cases (valuation), overall P&L, cash forecast, equity calls schedule and ad-hoc analysis.
- Support the preparation of presentations of monthly/quarterly reporting
- Maintain and improve detailed budget models.
- Financial liaison for meeting the company’s budget targets while balancing the department heads’ business requirements
- Perform detailed business analytics and prepare key performance indicators (KPl’s)
- Prepare analysis and materials for internal review and regular updates to the VP of Finance and Controller.
- Identify areas of improvement in FP&A processes and systems, make recommendations and drive implementations
- Make data-driven recommendations to the VP of Finance and Controller regarding the company’s strategic objectives, particularly for capital allocation decisions and financial planning
