Overview:
The Vice President, Field Marketing will play an essential role in the leadership and delivery of our field marketing initiatives to drive maximum results. In this role, you will be responsible for building relationships to deliver local strategy integration and execution with national marketing, brand integrity, and influencing local agency media, and planning and execution for all Domestic Planet Fitness’s clubs (at the DMA and Hyperlocal levels). The Vice President, Field Marketing plays a critical role in leading the Field Marketing Team to influence desired tactics, communicate and guide all key stakeholders, and optimize marketing efforts to provide best-in-class results.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the Field Marketing Team to support the national marketing plans and business objectives to influence the outcomes of local market executions both at the co-op and hyperlocal level, driving consistency and efficiency. Ensure alignment around key strategies.
- Represent the POV of the Field Marketing Team with cross-functional partners and leaders.
- Build strong agency, franchisee, and franchisee marketing leader’s relationships to influence local marketing strategies that drive business outcomes.
- Partner with Field Operations team to collectively identify marketing opportunities and solutions.
- Responsible for leading and communicating with local agencies to understand ongoing business objectives and promotional activity to influence their plans and media buys for co-ops, hyperlocal, and presale plans.
- Partner with Strategy & Analytics team understand key drivers across the system and regions. This includes, understanding campaign results and actionable findings in national promotions, pre-sales, and underperforming clubs/markets to build best practices and performance improvements, allowing the Field Marketing Team to communicate and execute in their regions.
- Partner with the Brand Media team to understand media performance and best practices across the system and regions to help the Field Marketing Team maximize their impact in the region.
- Communicate with the Brand and Digital Teams on their local marketing needs and priorities to effectively execute their co-op, hyperlocal, competitive, and presale marketing plans.
- Travel to, and assist where needed, franchisee marketing co-op meetings to lead and influence annual marketing plans that deliver on the business goals and local market needs.
- Participate and assist in the PF Annual Franchisee Conference and huddles.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field
- 10+ years of experience in a fast-paced marketing environment, preferably within a franchise organization, national brand(s), and/or agency
- Experience in traditional and digital media buying and understanding of TV DMA’s(preferred), either agency or in-house
- Experience with data analysis tools and ability to analyze data to improve results
- Thorough knowledge of MS Office Suite, including confidence with producing documents, using scheduling calendars, email, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Extremely detail-oriented, efficient, and organized with an exceptional ability to establish priorities and objectives and lead and manager projects to completion
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills along with the ability to professionally communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, including with executives
- Strong ability to establish and maintain effective, collaborative work relationships with diverse individuals, internally and externally through direct and positive communications
- Creative, progressive, thought leadership with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
- Excellent leadership skills including the ability to build teams, motivate, guide, and mentor
- Possess a results-driven entrepreneurial mindset, demonstrating initiative and creativity
- Demonstrated strategic thinking, creative problem-solving, and organizational leadership skills, including the ability to develop a well thought out plan, set it in motion, and generate alternative solutions
- Exhibits comfort, ease, and flexibility working in an extremely fast-paced ever-changing, deadline-driven, time-sensitive environment
- Cooperative team player with an upbeat, positive, “can-do” attitude!
- Experience with a franchise brand is a plus!
