Pine Run Retirement Community is looking for a full-time Sr. Director of Finance to join our team!
POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Executive Director is responsible to manage all Finance and Accounting functions. Responsible for the oversight of the day-to-day organization’s financial planning and accounting practices including financial reporting, budgeting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll services, and special projects
Guides Planning & Control Process:
1. Safeguarding of the assets of the organization under direct control of the Finance office.
2. Maintenance of adequate internal controls for finance functions.
3. Establish and coordinate uniform finance and statistical procedures throughout the operation; recommend equipment, software and services to provide finance and statistical statements for timely analysis and interpretation.
4. Assist with the negotiation and development of contracts – vendor contracts as well as Residency Agreements.
5. Serve as principal liaison with actuarial and financial consultants.
6. Develop and write policies and procedures relating to fiscal affairs.
7. Assist Doylestown Hospital with fund transfer, asset management and consolidation
Confirms Financial Status:
1. Timely implementation of monthly operating statements including balance sheet, statement of revenues and expenses and cash flow statement.
2. Supervise bank account reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations.
3. Monitor short-term cash flow.
4. Oversee accounts receivable department activities to ensure accurate and timely management of all aging components and billing reconciliations.
Supervise payroll functions as well as monitor and prepare payroll quarterly tax filings.
Achieves Budget Objectives
Prepare annual operating and capital budgets.
Complies with Federal, State, and Local Financial Legal Requirements
Responsible for supervision of preparation of audit work papers, cost reports, tax memoranda to residents, and allocations made for regulatory agencies and third party payers; represent Pine Run in meetings related to Medicare/Medical Assistance reimbursement, or reimbursement from other third party sources; serve as principle liaison with auditors, bankers and other financial institutions
Provides Professional and Managerial Leadership
1. Coordinate or direct in-service training of all personnel of Pine Run having responsibility for collection of financial and/or statistical information affecting the fiscal operation.
2. Represent Pine Run on Doylestown Hospital committees as invited and appropriate.
3. Ability to be flexible and to adapt to change
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must pass required health screen and testing before employment begins and yearly thereafter, as applicable to the position.
2. Must have an acceptable criminal history report as defined by the Older Adults Protective Services Act and its amendments.
3. Evidence of good physical and emotional health, grooming and professional conduct.
4. Bachelor’s degree in finance or business administration with a major in finance or commensurate experience.
5. Financial management experience preferred.
6. Ability to work with people, especially older people.
7. Good communication skills.
8. Problem solving and analysis skills.
9. Computer skills.
10. Understands Generally Accepted Finance Principles.
11. Accurate with figures.
12. Understands Medicare and Medical Assistance cost reporting principles.
13. Usually business day working hours, variations may occur.
14. Keeps current with changes in the field of finance as promulgated by the AICPA
generally and specifically as applicable to the long term care industry.
15. Supports Advisory Committee and Administration as part of the management team.
16. Maintains confidentiality.
17. Interfaces with Doylestown Hospital Finance and Finance departments.
