Position Summary :

The Finance Manager is accountable for daily accounting activities, ensuring that proper accounting and recording of transactions are performed accurately and on time while producing financial and other KPI reports for management.

Business Unit Summary and / or Description :

PHP Agency, an Integrity company in Addison, TX, is a life insurance marketing offering a comprehensive basket of insurance products to a diverse client base.

Position Responsibilities :

• Prepare and deliver the company’s financial statements to local management and the parent company (Integrity).
• Deliver the month-end, quarterly, and year-end closings.
• Maintain accounting ledgers and records to ensure the proper, complete, and accurate record keeping of accounting company transactions are performed within the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Train, guide, and direct finance / accounting / commissions staff and department leaders (specifically sales) to ensure accounting and finance activities, such as sales commissions, are completed accurately, efficiently, and timely.
• Confer with the executive team about annual budgeting and reviewing strategies to meet overall goals and objectives.
• Conduct internal reviews / audits of processes, records, and information.
• Direct the implementation of needed corrections as determined by internal reviews / audits.
• Supervise the mission-critical commission systems that deliver payments twice weekly to thousands of insurance agents deployed nationally.
• Post payroll and commission data to the accounting payment system for contractors, field insurance agents and W2s.
• Prepare and process bi-weekly payroll through systems operated by the parent company.
• Produce and review commission and payroll reports for the executive team.
• Support escalated field agent inquiries as necessary for both incentive and commission-related matters.

Position Requirements :

• Experience in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles is required.
• MS Office experience including a high level of proficiency in Excel is required.
• People leadership and management is required.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Team player and leader meeting scheduled deadlines while handling multiple tasks is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required (from an accredited Business School)
• CPA and MBA are a plus.
• 3+ years of finance, accounting, and people leadership experience.
