The Vice President Emerging Markets (EM) Finance is responsible for financial leadership, business consultation and analytical support for the Pfizer Emerging Asia, Africa/Middle East, and Latin America Commercial operations. The 2022 Op Plan for this highly diverse and dynamic Business Unit (BU) exceeds $15B including Comirnaty and Paxlovid.
Through insightful understanding of the business, rigorous review and partnership with Business Leaders, the Vice President EM is responsible for development and execution of strategies, delivery of financial commitments and optimal deployment of capital across the regions. This role serves as a key business partner to the EM leadership team (LT) and the EM BU President and requires significant coordination with other senior leaders globally on complex matters that influence the direction of business strategy and decisions.
This position is a member in EM LT and the Biopharma Commercial Finance LT.
The position has three Regional Finance Directors reporting directly into the role and a total of 84 Business Finance colleagues across the EM regions
The role is highly matrixed and works closely with Audit, Compliance, Controllers, GFS, Tax and Treasury as it relates to oversight and commercial strategy & operations across the regions.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
This role is responsible for direct business partner and financial decision support for the Emerging Markets Business Unit (EM BU) President and Leadership Team (EM LT). This role will also be a key member of the EM LT requiring significant direct interaction with other Commercial LT members including Regional Presidents, Global Commercial leads, Medical, Access, Strategy/Business Development, Health and Value, Business Analytics & Insights, etc. Responsibilities will include:
