This Finance Manager provides financial operation support with month-end-close activities, budgeting, forecasting, actual spend reporting, inventory management, day-to-day accuracy of financial records. The role requires an individual who is capable of driving efficiency through continuous improvement of operational and financial process, while working in a complex, matrix environment and managing competing priorities. The scope includes financial support of an operating expense and capital budget and requires the ability to interact with all levels of the finance organization and assist in driving the delivery of the financial targets of the business.
The Rocky Mount Manufacturing operations supports five unique small volume parenteral product presentations and two large volume parenteral product presentations as part of the Global Sterile Injectables network. The Finance Manager is responsible for the financial support for the each business unit. This includes costing and a comprehensive understanding of operational practices.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Core responsibilities include, but may not be limited to
Leading, innovating, and executing a range of value-creating projects to drive superior business results
Ad hoc projects include: data analysis, insights generation, and communication of results
Supporting ad hoc reporting; including generation of business partner performance reports and data needed by different internal stakeholders
Process improvements and close participation different corporate initiatives
Specific Responsibilities Include
Strong technical accounting knowledge. (FASB, US GAAP, GAAS)
Perform and supervise monthly close processes: journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis
Supervise GMX – (transfer price), Tolling, and Intercompany transactions
Lead Compliance Meetings in addition to all audit activities
Builds relationship with shared service providers (GFS and CoE)
Perform inventory analysis and calculate monthly inventory reserves
Perform budget vs. actual analysis reviews with various levels of management
Own budget preparation and budget vs. actual P&L files
Prepare all financial reporting packages including Waterfall analysis
Participate in the Budget and Standard Cost Setting Yearly Process.
Own corporate submissions and financial reporting to Corporate
Partner with cross-functional business counterparts to develop annual business plans and analyze year-to-date performance and historical trends
Collaborate with responsible parties to develop action plans to close any identified gaps
Make financial updates in accordance Pfizer policies
Handle inter-company transactions with affiliate companies
Manage SOX control documentation and participate in SOX testing and audit activities as needed
Document and maintain all financial work processes
Helps with the development of the finance staff
REQUIRED BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree; Accounting or Finance is preferred
MBA, CPA, or CMA is preferred
5 years of successful work experience in financial analysis accounting, reporting, and planning
SAP and Hyperion experience
Strong Excel and PowerPoint Skills
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, including the ability to create and use complex models
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work autonomously
Highly organized, proactive, and passionate about the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment with a broad range of responsibility
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Hybrid work environment: must be able to work at Rocky Mount site at least 2-3 days per week
Less than 10% travel
