What We Are Looking For:
Persado is looking for a new leader to join our finance organization as a Director of Commercial Finance. This role will form part of the Finance Leadership Team. This role will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and partner closely with the Chief Revenue Officer and our Go To Market teams to instill a disciplined approach to growth.
This role will manage processes, tools, technology and reporting and will be responsible for driving accountability across the commercial organization to effectively drive the financial management of the company. We are looking for someone who is highly analytical, adaptable to the needs of the company and able to consistently deliver on discrete deliverables in a project based manner. Ideally you will have experience of working in a finance organization and have had exposure to revenue operations at some point in your career. You will be comfortable liaising and partnering with senior stakeholders and willing to take ownership of projects and see them through to completion.
What You Will Work On:
Partner with the CFO, CRO and Head of GTM on getting the foundations in place to facilitate the creation of a highly efficient and effective commercial organization.
Partner with the CFO and CRO to manage and iterate on forecasting processes, surfacing risks and insights on a timely basis to drive financial and commercial decision making.
Own the analytics and reporting of the sales funnel, partnering with the CRO and CMO to challenge, refine and optimize Sales, SDR and Marketing contributions to pipeline generation.
Drive insights around the performance of the commercial organization and use data to drive and influence decision making and change.
Support sales territory design and ongoing optimization in partnership with the GTM organization.
Own pricing across the commercial organization and partner with the CFO and CRO to optimize and refine pricing strategies.
Partner with the CFO & CRO to design sales incentive compensation plans that drive and incentivise the right behaviors across the commercial organization.
Partner with Customer Success and Operations leadership to model ongoing staffing requirements and surface financial and commercial insights around account performance to drive wider decision making.
Assist the CFO and Head of FP&A with the development of quarterly board materials and any other investor reporting requests.
Identify and help with the prioritization of sales and marketing technology investments that meaningfully contribute to the growth of the business.
Own our CRM and the data capture mechanisms. Align business processes with system infrastructure to ensure we are able to effectively manage the business with data.
Partner closely with the Head of FP&A as part of business planning cycles to provide modeling support on the commercial targets as well as the creation and maintenance of demand generation models.
What You Bring:
Experience of working in a finance capacity, delivering highly accurate outputs and presenting data and findings in a clear and concise manner.
Extensive business partnering skills and the ability to prioritize and work closely with senior stakeholders on multiple projects in an entrepreneurial manner with minimal guidance and supervision.
Exposure to revenue operations at some point in your career either directly or indirectly. Familiar with what best-in-class looks like but able to adapt to the immediate needs of the business.
Intellectually curious and operates with a challenge mindset. We are looking for someone that does not accept the status quo and is adaptable to change.
Willing to work both in the capacity of an individual contributor and over time build and leverage a team to scale out the team’s contributions in line with the businesses needs.
Highly motivated team player that collaborates well and is always focused on the business outcome. Heavily results-oriented; a proven ability to meet and/or exceed OKRs.
An understanding of Enterprise SaaS and the typical metrics that are tracked and managed.
Experience building financial models that are used to influence and steer ongoing decision making.
Comfortable interrogating data and inputs to drive compliance with process and procedures.
