Position Summary
The position of Manager US Commercial Planning & Reporting is a critical role in Pernod Ricard USA. The Commercial Planning & Reporting team is responsible for owning the overall US business management reporting and functioning as the key business partner to the CCO.
Leads ‘system cadence’ between the management of the Depletion P&L for the PRUSA business, inclusive of Spirits, W&C and RTDs
Drives alignment between business units by supporting and challenging forecasts and budgets
Creates consistent reporting packages for key Commercial stakeholders
Collaborates with Commercial Planning & Operations teams to develop forward looking view of US business and identify key financial risks & opportunities
Assists with the coordination and helps to oversee execution of US budgeting and forecasting processes, feeding into NA region reporting requirements
The position has accountability for preserving financial controls and assisting with financial risk management
Coordinates and consolidates Division-level performance reporting and management analysis
Supports the field organization in optimizing resource allocation, taking an ROI approach to A&P and LMF/EG investment
Partners distributor counterparts on planning, reporting, LMF/EG, and pricing topics
This role plays a pivotal role to help drive the execution of the portfolio and commercial plans
Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities
1) This team is responsible for being the analytical engine of the Commercial organization
Preparation and analysis of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range strategic planning process for the US business unit
Understand business environment to properly identify potential financial implications, ensuring timely and accurate information is available for key executive decision-making
Track the monthly performance, recommend actions and mitigation plans
2) Enabling business partners for an agile and collaborative organization
Drive efficiency, managing the relevant teams through the Management Planning Cycles
Build sustainable, efficient and effective systems in (i) ways of working and (ii) processes
3) Help to Manage the overall Commercial planning & reporting
Support the Senior Director by Identifying potential sales (channel/geography) growth terrains / opportunities and make resourcing choices to drive optimal return
Analyze marketing spend (Field A&P/LMF) vs. budget/LE and previous year. Provide monthly analysis and identify key drivers of variances, while looking for efficiency and effectiveness improvement.
4) Preparation of strategic documents and presentations for PR USA senior management both within PR USA and to key distributor partners (SGWS, RNDC, etc)
5) Special projects and assignments as required
Nature & Scope
Primary responsibility is to participate in the development and oversee the execution of the US strategic plan, take actions related to R&O based on US performance drivers and market context.
Strong financial and market performance management (analytics, reporting and budgeting) experience is imperative to success in this role. Due to the materiality of the financials (topline and marketing budget), errors in judgment can be significant.

Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s Degree is required.
Experience / Background: Minimum 5 years of experience of financial planning experience preferably with a consumer products company or Public accounting firm.

Highly analytical, with ability to use the power of facts to bring insight & make clear finance recommendations & commercial decisions;

High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint & Finance Software(s);

Working Conditions
General Office: Work is performed in a typical office environment. Limited demands for movement and lifting. Normal visual, hearing and language acuity required for correspondence and computer usage.
