As Assistant Food & Beverage Manager, you will be responsible for managing all upscale dining, food and beverage operations and for delivering an excellent guest experience. The successful candidate will be able to forecast, plan and manage all food and beverage orders, staff and finance. The goal is to maximize sales and revenue through customer satisfaction and employee engagement.
Essential responsibilities:
- Manage food and beverage operations
- Assist in managing day-to-day operations within budgeted guidelines
- Ensure guests and employee satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget

- Identify customers’ needs and respond proactively to all of their concerns
- Preserve excellent levels of internal and external customer service
- Lead food and beverage team by attracting, recruiting, training and appraising talented personnel
- Promotes and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
- Communicates areas that need attention to staff and follows up to ensure understanding
- Serves as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviors
- Establish targets, schedules, policies and procedures
- Provide a two way communication and nurture an ownership environment with emphasis in motivation and teamwork
- Comply with all health and safety regulations
- Report on management regarding sales results and productivity
Qualifications:
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
- 3+ years’ experience in the food and beverage management, culinary, or related professional
- Comprehension of budgets, profit & loss and quality assurance
- Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
- Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
- Mastery in delegating multiple tasks
- Effective communication and leadership skills
- Up to date with food and beverages trends and best practices
- Ability to manage personnel and meet financial targets
- Guest-oriented and service-minded
