Job Description Summary: The Senior Manager for Engagement leads and supports the overall engagement of Finance team members throughout PayPal. The Senior Manager enables an employee experience that embodies the Values and Leadership Principles of PayPal. Focus areas for the Senior Manager and their team include communication, training/development, interns, engagement, DIEB, philanthropy, recognition, new employee experiences, and wellness. The Senior Manager holds a critical role for listening to the needs of the business and working within and outside the team to develop plans that enable the outcome of a highly engaged workforce. The ability to work collaboratively with different business unit leads and subject matter experts is required.

Key Responsibilities:
Proactive partnership across Finance to understand the needs of the Finance employees and leaders
Interact with key business partners outside of Finance to stay connected to enterprise-wide strategies
Lead activities that foster an engaged culture through the global Finance organization, with a focus on connection amongst colleagues and to the business in a largely virtual workforce
Serve as the leader of the Engagement team to enable team members to leverage their unique strengths
Enable new employees to have a successful onboarding experience and feel a sense connectedness to the Finance team
Further build a culture rooted in the Values and Leadership Principles of PayPal
Provide oversight of communications, training/development, interns, new employee experience, DIEB, philanthropy, wellness, and recognition for Finance.
Required Skills and Experience:
Experience identifying, building, implementing and assessing programs to build engagement
Strong ability to listen and quickly pivot on strategies as business needs change
Ability to lead and navigate change in a complex, global environment
Communication experience in a variety of formats, including written communication taking on the voice of senior leadership
Demonstrated experience building programs that enhance attraction to being a part of the organization and retention of team members
Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum of 5+ years of experience creating a culture of engagement through focused efforts that lead to clear outcomes
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly articulate ideas in presentations.
Executive presence with ability to effectively work with all types of roles and functions in the organization.
