Job Description Summary: We are looking for a smart and ambitious candidate to join our Finance Transformation function, to help lead optimization, automation and streamlining of PayPal’s Finance function. The Finance Transformation team is part of the great Finance organization, helping solve barriers to execution and unlock value for both PayPal and the finance organization You will help shape the next chapter of PayPal’s Finance organization as we look to launch new features, improve processes, and maximize ROI’s. Job Description:
In this role you will focus on the rollout of various systems, processes and financial management of PayPal’s core treasury, accounting and FP&A systems. These groups are critical for the success of PayPal’s finance organization so this role is of critical importance to the business. You will work with finance leadership teams, subject matter experts and PayPal’s leadership team.
Your Responsibilities will include:
Provide thought partnership to business partners and senior level executives on a broad range of business-critical topics
Lead analytical workstreams – identify and deconstruct business issues, and develop strategic, analytical, and financial frameworks to conduct analyses and solve critical business issues
Develop external perspective through relevant and actionable benchmarks
Collaborate with professionals across PayPal to deliver cross-functional project support and track & manage various FP&A, tax, accounting, and treasury initiatives
Manage reporting and resolution of issues, risks, and dependencies, proactively identifying potential planning gaps, suggesting mitigations to risks, actions to close issues or complete open items
Lead planning and managing the initial phases of system onboarding projects including setting timelines, drafting project plans, gathering system requirements, setting project scope, and managing key stakeholders.
Find and implement opportunities to improve processes or use technology to automate activities
Manage the budget of various finance transformation initiatives
Provide a key communication channel between various finance and business teams
What do you need to bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA is a bonus
8+ years of experience working in Finance and/or Accounting function
Experience in analysing Financial Transformation projects in a high-growth technology company needed
Proven problem solving and analytical thinking and ability to approach problems logically and systematically.
Strong understanding of Finance and Accounting concepts
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to make complex business concepts easily digestible
Comfort expressing a point of view and taking risks

New York City Only : The pay range for this position is as mentioned below per year, plus annual bonus. We take into consideration an individual’s background and experience in determining final salary. All PayPal employees are shareholders in our Company, so equity is part of our total compensation plan.
