Job Overview
The Outbound Manager owns the management of outbound shipments from our Amscan Wholesale DC locations to Retail Stores and Wholesale Accounts utilizing multiple modes of Transportation, including Pool Delivery, Less Than Truckload, Truckload, and Intermodal. In this capacity, the Outbound Manager is responsible for maintaining the relationship with multiple Domestic transportation providers, ensuring contractual performance is achieved. Working through an Outbound team, this role requires collaboration with key stakeholders in Fulfillment, Finance, Inventory, Wholesale Operations, and Store Operations to ensure service level agreements are met, outbound transportation budget goals are established and achieved, and corrective actions are implemented if KPIs fall below target levels
Responsibilities and Duties
· Leverage negotiation skills, analytical acumen, and experience with RFP/RFQ management to drive selection of store delivery and line haul transportation providers.
· Provide weekly analysis and presentations to Store Operations leadership outlining performance of carriers across national markets
· Drive continuous improvement by identifying reporting and process enhancements that align to company objectives.
· Proactively identify opportunities for improvement in Transportation cost and service for stores and wholesale accounts.
· Collaborate with key PCHI stakeholders and vendor partners to meet goals and objectives, ensure data collection and reporting, and ensure commitments are communicated and met.
