Summary
–Collects and analyzes financial data and systems, regulatory submissions, budget and reimbursement presentations, feasibility studies and financial plans.
-Reimbursement experience would include patient accounts receivable valuation (Crowe/Kodiak RCA software), EPIC, Medicare cost reporting (DSH, S-10, Wage Index, IME/GME), Ohio Medicaid cost reporting, net revenue budgeting, etc.
-Makes recommendations and prepares reports to support plans, business decisions, operational changes and new services.
-Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in own discipline or field.
Leads others to solve complex problems.
-Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations.
-Leads functional teams or projects.
-Applies expertise in professional area(s) to achieve results.
-Seen as an industry expert able to provide guidance as to business, strategic, and financial compliance issues.
-Understands the concept of risk and navigates to an appropriate recommendation understanding that the right answer is not always the most conservative approach.
-Responsible for the outcomes of a highly sensitive financial task or area.
-Provides guidance on strategic plans and effectively predicts outcomes.
-Responsible for the timely and accurate preparation and filing of high risk, high exposure compliance and regulatory documents.
-Provides guidance to and leads lower level finance staff teaching concepts of analysis, business relationships, risk etc. Agent of positive change and improvement.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or other quantitative field. MBA/MHA a preferred.
Licensure/Certification
CPA preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 6 years in public accounting audit experience or 10 years in private accounting, finance and operations analysis preferably in healthcare setting demonstrating progressive leadership responsibility, and a history of producing positive financial results.

-Ability to prepare and present information, produce excellent documentation and provide education.
