Assistant Warehouse Manager / Driver

Orwashers Bakery, New York’s Wholesale Bread Bakery, is looking for an Assistant Warehouse Manager / Driver to join our team. As part of the warehousing team you will be responsible that all supplies, ingredients and finished products are stored and managed properly. .

The Assistant Warehouse Manager / Driver will be expected to and responsible for:

• Loading and Unloading pallets and cases on trucks
• Assisting in preparing customer pickups, filling up and entering information into our tracking systems
• Moving pallets, cases, etc. between the bakery and the storage facility
• Communicating and coordinating with the warehouse team
• Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Director of Operations or the manager/supervisor on duty
• Driving a small truck to a few of our local customers. Must have a valid drivers license
• Storing the products planned for the day, according to processes and procedures
• Following rules and policies
• Giving feedback and assisting in improving the processes and procedures
• Assisting packing team, in case of emergencies

You will NOT be responsible for:

• Changing pickup dates or times without consulting the Warehouse Supervisor
• Disciplining or managing other employees
• Changing the processes and procedures without consulting the Warehouse Supervisor

Essential Functions:

· Ability to lift 50+ lbs

· Ability to walk, stand, and/or bend continuously and for extended periods as required to perform essential job functions

· Ability to work a flexible and variable schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays
