Job Summary
The Regional Vice President of Finance will support the Regional President and relevant companies by recommending and driving financial strategies, objectives and analytics. This is a dynamic role that will own and drive management accounting, financial reporting and forecasting for a $600m+ region. The position reports to the Regional President, with a strong alignment to the Global CFO, including membership of the Oldcastle APG Finance Leadership Team. The successful candidate will be an effective leader with a focus on business partnership and process improvement and someone also willing to perform detailed financial work. This is a visible and high growth potential role with future opportunity for progression through our expanding team and stable but rapidly growing business. Although experience in the areas described is a plus, training and transition support will be provided to the successful candidate.
Key member of the regional management team with collective responsibility for delivering a $600m+ budget
Part of the APG Finance Leadership Team, responsible for developing financial policies and strategies for the Global business and for supporting talent development
Operating as a business partner to the Regional President, pro-actively offering financial and analytical leadership and supporting business decisions
Responsible for ensuring proactive financial processes that achieve accurate, quality decisions and business results across the Region.
Directing preparation and review of budgets, bill of materials, and preparing necessary supporting documentation and justification
Holding regular tactical business reviews and strategic assessments with relevant companies through partnering with Controllers, Company Presidents and GMs and other relevant team members
Directing internal controls, processes and procedures working closely with the finance team to ensure compliance with local SOX and audit requirements
In partnership with the Corporate Development Team, key contributor to acquisition strategy through assessment of target company financial data to identify risks, potential synergies and trends
Actively supporting the recruitment and development of talent in the region, including succession planning and training for the finance teams
Analyzing data and designing reports that summarize & forecast critical trends
Requirements
Education and Work Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Commerce/Business or similar education / experience
10+ years of experience in general accounting, finance and analytics areas
Experience with budgeting, forecasting and financial accounting
Preference for experience supporting a manufacturing business environment and in cost accounting
Supervisory experience a plus
Travel Required: up to 25%
CPA preferred
