Who You Are:
The Junior Cost Accountant is responsible for inventory transaction adjustments, item standard costing, and periodic and year-end closing and reporting procedures. You will help ensure our inventory is kept accurate and up-to-date and ensure our inventory financial integrity is protected.
What You’re Good At:
- Monitoring and enter weekly inventory cycle count adjustments
- Assisting with quarterly book-to-book warehouse reconciliations
- Identifying and dispose of obsolete inventory
- Setting up and maintain warehousing in the ERP system
- Monitoring purchase and production price variances
- Setting up and maintain standard costs for inventory valuation
- Solving with warehouse and manufacturing facilities as needed
- Working closely with supply chain to reduce transactional deficiencies
- Providing analysis on weekly/monthly inventory variances
- Working on Ad hoc reporting as needed by management
What You Contribute:
- Has a Bachelor’s degree in business; accounting or finance preferred
- 1+ Years of relevant experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Must be able to manage lots of responsibility and possess excellent time management skills
- Experience with an ERP or financial reporting and control system (ex. Microsoft Dynamics AX) is a plus.
- Is adaptable and a quick learner
- Is extremely detail-oriented
- Ability to build strong internal/external relationships
- Does not require constant supervision and is disciplined enough to accomplish all work expectations
- Must be willing and available to travel to outside warehouse locations to perform inventory cycle counts and audits
