This is an administrative support job in an office setting. JOB SUMMARY: Accounting Lead is responsible for managing the bookkeeping of an organization. Their duties include evaluating financial records, tracking profits and expenditures, and preparing reports. They are responsible for preparing invoices, handling the company’s accounts, taking care of payments and refunds, and sending client invoices. Finance Lead also assess internal management procedures, suggest process improvements, and assist in financial statement preparation. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Accurate and timely invoicing of client by issuing invoices and bills and sent them to clients through various channels Check the data input in the CRM system to ensure accuracy of final bill, by reviewing work in progress. Investigating financial transactions and records on a daily basis Reviewing incoming and outgoing invoices and making payments to various service providers Manage account balances to discover outstanding debts or other inconsistencies, research discrepancies by validating information. Issue client account statements periodically or whenever necessary and send reminders for payments and contact client when needed. Answer questions and handle requests from client regarding invoices. Update accounting records with new payments, balances, customer information etc. Pull reports, data, and utilized Excel to ensure accuracy and balancing of transaction postings. Create and generate reports to monitor your responsibilities in a pro-active manner. Report on activity to upper management. Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the position in order to facilitate collaboration and teamwork, timely client interaction and working with company equipment during scheduled business hours. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Proven experience as Accounting Specialist or a similar position in the Accounting Department. Experience in the real estate industry a plus. Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel). Working knowledge of relevant software (e.g., Salesforce, Yardi (VendorCafe), LoanSphere Invoicing will be appreciated. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and be able to work in a fast passed and fluid environment. Detailed and process oriented with an ability to multi-task. Attention to detail and analytical thinking. TRAVEL: No Travel is required. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervision of other employees is not exercised. WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The incumbent typically works in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone and other office equipment as needed to perform duties.
