Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Program Control Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is located in Huntsville, AL and supports the Missile Defense Solutions Business Unit as part of the Launch and Missile Defense Solutions Division. This position will be located in Huntsville, AL.
This Program Cost Control Analyst will interface with leadership, program managers, functional management, control account managers (CAMs) and business managers to provide financial support and analysis to meet program requirements.
Roles and responsibilities may include and are not limited to the following:
Sets up cost control system, monitors and controls costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system
Performs analyses and prepares reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines
Prepares budgets and schedules for contract work and performs and/or assists in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis
Prepares program plans to ensure program requirements and statement of work are captured and scheduled
Performs schedule risk assessments to identify and mitigate program cost and scheduling risks
Ensures adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing preparation of expenditure projections, and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the government
Incorporates contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract in order to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field with 3 years of experience or a Master’s degree as described above with 1 years of experience.
Prior related experience with financial analysis and/or reporting.
Strong PC skills required with high level Excel skills (including: the ability to insert pivot tables, vlookup, and conditional formatting, etc.)
The ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret level security clearance is required. U.S. Citizenship is a prerequisite.
Preferred Qualifications:
Defense Industry experience
Demonstrated ability to prepare and analyze data and figures
Experience with GAAP, as well as Government Financial accounting practices
Prior program cost control experience
Earned Value Management Customer Reporting experience
Secret level security clearance or higher
6 month Experience with Cobra, SAP and EVMS.

This position’s standard work schedule is 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows an employee to work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday and take every other Friday off of work.

Salary Range: $61,900 USD – $92,900 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
