Job Description
Northrop Grumman’s Defense sector is looking for a Manager Programs 2 to support the Mission Planning & Decision Support Operating Unit in Beavercreek, Ohio.
The primary objective will be leading all phases of the program life cycle from inception (proposal development) through startup, execution, and completion (contract closeout). Secondary responsibilities will be to perform account manager duties. The Account Manager will be responsible to conduct business development and capture activities to support product sales and organizational growth.
The Program/ Account Manager will be responsible for the management of cost, schedule, and technical performance of company programs and products. Additional responsibilities including, but not limited to:
Developing new business opportunities through long term strategic planning, capture planning, and development of proposals and business plans.
Cultivating customer relationships and intimacy to develop further opportunities within the customer community.
Develop business and engineering strategy for product growth.
Delivering presentations to customers, management and other program and product stakeholders.
Monitor, track, and report on funding used to improve product.
Identifying, allocating and managing program and product resources, including workforce planning.
Measuring and reporting program and product performance.
Identification, distribution, tracking, and completion of program requirements.
Basic Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED with a minimum 14 year’s relevant experience; OR a minimum of 10 years relevant experience with bachelor’s degree in management or related degree; OR a minimum of 8 years relevant experience with master’s degree management or related degree
Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with small to large teams and customer stakeholders
Experience developing business opportunities
Experience with project budgeting and scheduling, with on-time delivery
Experience with project/program risk assessments
Experience with common project management tools (MS Project, etc.)
Must have an active Secret security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Ability to comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions
Ability to communicate with customers to understand their needs and explain product value
Ability to build rapport and collaborate with customers both internally and externally
Ability to build and strengthen customer relationships to achieve long-term partnerships
Experience with program and team leadership
Salary Range: $134,400 USD – $201,600 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
