Full Job Description
Summary: The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting most
aspects of accounting, assisting with the preparation of statements
that follow all regulatory and accounting guidelines, and the
formulation of internal controls and policies to comply with
legislation and established best practices.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
· Support most aspects of accounting management
(billing, tax forms, reporting etc.)
· Assist in the formulation
of internal controls and policies to comply with legislation and
established best practices
· Assist in the preparation of
financial statements in compliance with official guidelines and
requirements.
· Prepare journal entries, invoices etc. and
reconcile accounts for the monthly or annual closing.
· Assist in
the preparation of budgets or forecasts
· Participate in
preparation for the annual audit.
· Help in development of
reports for management or regulatory bodies
· Review the
company’s accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies
or imbalances
· Utilize accounting IT system to facilitate
processes and maintain records.
· Prepare audit workpapers as
assigned.
· Assist in the implementation of new accounting
standards
· Assist with projects as requested.
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting
· 4+ years of experience in an accounting role
· Solid
knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and
regulations.
· Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial
processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting etc.)
·
Working knowledge of MS Office (especially excel) and accounting
software.
· Highly motivated and able to manage multiple
activities, projects, and effectively communicate results.
Preferred Education & Experience Qualifications:
· CPA
license
· Master’s degree in accounting
· Public accounting
experience
Pay, Schedule & Benefits:
– Pay based on
experience and education
– Weekly bonus payout: up to 63% of base
hourly rate x hours worked per week.
– Holiday pay

Bi-weekly payroll
– Generally: 8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday
