This position will work closely with the unit manager as the unit manager creates and oversees the tools and systems this position will be performing or maintaining. This position will apply accounting and financial knowledge on a daily basis and will continually analyze processes and information to highlight concerns or irregularities for the unit manager or assistant dean’s review.
This position is expected to assume ownership of the tasks and completed by identified deadlines; as well as engage with all members of the college finance team, the college research office, the college human resources office and academic department business officers, both orally and in writing, requiring excellent communication skills. This position requires patience, steadiness, and a calming presence to ensure a customer and team oriented approach. This position is required to actively engage with the college finance team members in problem solving; knowledge sharing through coaching and mentoring; and regular team-building activities.
