Job Description:
· Senior Program Manager needed to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
· This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan.
· The SPM will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.
Job Responsibilities:
· Building and managing relationships with business leaders to understand their vision and goals
· Assisting in the “translation” of the vision of the customer into business requirements
· Managing multiple key projects with significant scope and complexity simultaneously
· Organizing and leading matrixed teams to successfully deliver on programs
· Synthesizing the business and technical landscape into a sound project strategy and execution plan
· Leading and facilitating meetings with technical staff
· Developing processes for regular entitlement reviews
· Following the PMO communications process to ensure stakeholders are aware of status, risks, and opportunities
· Cultivating trust and managing expectations with all program stakeholders
· Driving execution of project and program deliverables
· Formulating mitigation strategies and recommending solutions
· Improving delivery and operational processes to optimize performance and value over time
· Interacting with senior leaders across a highly matrixed environment in both IT and business communities
· Oversee QA activities to ensure project deliverables meet / exceed established standards
· Preparing and delivering presentations regarding program status to key stakeholders
· Providing risk management and issue/problem resolution as required
· Synchronizing and managing cross-project interdependencies
· Regularly provide updates on project status using PMO designated project management tool
· Through observation determine what both individuals and departments can do to be more effective.
· Collaborates with internal teams to define scope, requirements, and implementation timeline.
· Ensures that process methodologies, templates, and tools are properly and consistently utilized.
Skills Required:
· Bachelor’s Degree required
· PMP certification preferred
· Work Experience:
· 7 years of Project Management or equivalent work experience
