We are looking for a skilled data and analytics professional to lead data visualization and next generation reporting capabilities for the finance function in service of our functional transformation in data analytics and self-service reporting. The ideal candidate has both analytics and finance skill and experience developing ‘better than Excel’ visualizations and reporting that drive insights and results. What you will work on
You will use industry and Nike standards to define standards and a playbook for the finance visualization and reporting COE that expands adoption of better-than-Excel visualization and analytics capabilities
You will manage a team and mentor an expanded data and analytics team in design, tools and standardization to provide opportunities for team members to develop skills in emerging tools and techniques
You and your team will develop and activate compelling, scalable solutions across the function, resulting in strong user adoption that help transform finance user experience away from time-intensive manual efforts and towards automated self-service reporting
Who you with work with
You will engage with Global and Geography Finance partners, including External Reporting, Business Planning, Revenue & Margin Management, SG&A Management, and Nike Direct Finance to understand business requirements and transition users from legacy reporting tools
You will partner with other Finance and Technology leaders to integrate evolving data products, automation, and governance standard methodologies into visualization and reporting solutions
What you will bring
Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business, Finance or related fields preferred. Will accept suitable combination of equivalent education, experience and/or training.
5-6 years of relevant experience in user experience, developing dashboards, data visualizations, and self-service reporting tools
2-3 years leading teams developing visual analytics or advanced analytics
Finance experience working in a global business environment preferred
Proven track record of putting strategy into action through a team of people inside and outside of direct circle of influence
Demonstrated use of data to influence decision making through excellent communication and presentation skills, and ability to articulate complex concepts in an easily understandable way
Solid grounding in user experience and visualization standard methodologies and evolving trends, technologies, and techniques
Expertise with visual analysis and reporting technologies such as Tableau, Cognos Analytics, Power BI, SAS, QlikView, JavaScript, or similar tools. Tableau certification preferred
Strong SQL experience
Coding skills in Python, R, or similar and experience with Agile and LEAN methodologies are pluses
