SUMMARY Nexamp is seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant to join our team. This position will report to the accounting manager and will be responsible for month end functions and serving as a liaison between our logistics and field teammates to help maintain records for Nexamp’s multimillion dollar inventory. This role is critical to our business, multiple individuals in managerial positions have started with Nexamp in this role. RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for the execution and performance of accounting and finance activities, including, but not limited to: Prepare accurate inventory and Cost of Goods Sold records, driving our revenue recognition via the percentage of completion method. Additional responsibilities surrounding construction revenue recognition as performance dictates Review staff work in common corporate accounting areas such as prepaids, fixed assets, and payroll Maintain collaborative channels of communication with Finance, Procurement, Logistics, Treasury, Construction, and Asset Management departments. Prepare supporting schedules for financial reporting and management Assist with Audit preparation and responses QUALIFICATIONS Ideal candidate must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, results-oriented and operate well in a collaborative, team environment. The ideal candidate should be prepared for increased responsibilities as they relate to the role and in a rapidly growing company. 2 years related Public Accounting experience, or a 3-year mix of industry and Public Accounting experience (CPA preferred) Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and the ability to independently perform research to find solutions for accounting issues Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills Ability to proactively propose improvement solutions Ability to work well both independently and as a member of a close-knit team Solid relationship building skills and ability to interact with individuals at all levels Ability to communicate effectively Strict attention to detail Willing and able to adapt to a high energy, fast paced environment. Highly self-motivated, proactive, and efficient. Robust analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills. Strong Microsoft Office and overall computer skills (including the ability to use Excel formulas such as lookups, pivot tables, and sumifs). Enthusiastic and eager to learn and grow. Experience with accounting systems; NetSuite strongly preferred.
