JOB DESCRIPTION
Under supervision of the Assistant Director of Property Management, perform duties related to Section 8, 236, and tax credit monitoring, including compliance with the H.U.D. 4350.3 Handbook and other rules and regulations set forth in the Management Manual; ensure that projects satisfy the requirements of re-certification, as well as the electronic transmission through TRACS of all subsidized tenant files.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Four (4) year college degree; five (5) years of business experience; of which two (2) years experience is in processing applications for subsidized housing; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that meets the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Responsible for 5,000 to 6,000 units with more complex projects. In addition, responsibilities include assisting the TRACS Coordinators. NOTE: THESE UNIT TOTALS WILL INCREASE PROPORTIONATELY AMONG ALL LEVELS BASED ON THE NUMBER OF UNITS THAT COME ON/OFFLINE EACH YEAR. Physical Demands Non Physical Working Conditions General office environment; travel is required and employee must have a current, valid driverxe2x80x99s license and clean driving record. Certificates & Licenses Required For Occupancy Specialist I, II, and III: No later than the one-year anniversary of the employee’s start date; specialists shall have successfully completed an NJHMFA approved CPO (Certified Professional of Occupancy)/Certified Assisted Housing Manager or other equivalent certification course. Upon receipt of certification, specialists must satisfy the continuing education requirements to maintain his/her CPO certification. A valid driver’s license in the state in which the person resides is required only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.
