Senior Accountant
The senior accountant will support the NCSA accounting team, including monthly and ad hoc reporting to corporate, budgeting and forecasting.
Responsibilities
- Accounting operations including account reconciliations, journal entries for bank accounts, payroll, fixed assets, credit card transactions, accruals and other standard close activities.
- Prepare account analyses and reconciliations
- Support month-end and year-end processes
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
- Support the preparation of the annual budget and analyses of variances. Support the preparation of forecasts throughout the year.
- Assist with preparation of schedules requested by Company’s internal and external auditors and tax return preparers
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Participate in other projects as required
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Qualifications / Requirements
- Proven working experience as a senior accountant
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years of overall combined accounting experience, CPA is a plus
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
- Advanced Excel skills
- Excellent accounting software user skills, SAP accounting system experience is a plus
