The Challenge
We are looking for a mechanic to join our Maintenance Operations & Fleet Management team.
 
In this role you will:
  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, repairs, and rebuildings of gas/diesel-powered, light to heavy equipment in the DOT fleet.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles/equipment.
  • Repair, rebuild, and maintain light or heavy equipment.
  • Prepare new equipment for use across our 14 highway divisions.
  • Communicate with customers to ensure accurate description of complaints.
  • Deal with suppliers to purchase the correct materials.
 
What You Bring
  • Knowledge of the techniques/methods used in determining and solving mechanical problems.
  • Experience and knowledge how to use diagnostic tools.
  • Ability to read, understand, and explain technical and instructional manuals.
  • Experience performing preventive maintenance on 1+ of the following: light, medium, heavy-duty trucks, and heavy construction equipment.
 
Note
  • We may require EPA certification as a Type I, II, III, or Universal technician.
 
Education & Experience
  • High School/GED diploma, or
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience.
