We are looking for a Manager, Financial Analysis who will lead a team and drive key insights into the business through analysis, financial modeling, and a high level of communication skills. You will work closely with Operational and Administration executives to ensure Budgetary requirements and Pricing initiatives are met, prevent cost leakages, and develop dashboards/tools to reduce manual reporting/processes and while providing a Finance focused holistic view/understanding of all business segments within the company.

As a hands-on leader, you will pitch in at any part of the task, no job is too big or too small, and working collaboratively with Operations will be your specialty. Being responsible for leading a team of Analysts located throughout the country, you will help grow/mentor associates to their full potential, have a keen sense for fostering a team environment, and use authority in a positive manner.

Overall Job Duties:

• Lead and support Financial Analytics team in various pricing related and/or ad-hoc requests from various P&L Stakeholders
• Structure a sustainable and recurring P&L review process with the Analytics team that allows for constant monitoring of site-level financials.
• Build compelling and insightful reports / dashboards that provide value to the operations and administration team
• Run and direct KPI meetings as needed, provide input to operators to help drive better financial decisions
• Partner with Transportation and Warehousing Operators to provide deeper insights into potential cost avoidance/Revenue enhancement opportunities
• Build and enhance current financial models to capture accurate costs and current trends/business climate
• Establish robust and sustainable Forecasting models, assist with Annual Operating Plan as needed
• Leverage BI tools and Automation to reduce data-gathering time and allow for greater focus on analytics and root cause analysis
• Maintains and drives consistent reporting content, format, and quality for all items produced by the department
• Ensures sustainable customer-facing reporting processes and develops a cross trained department to mitigate “single points of failure”
• Interview/Hire and Develop associates as needed to support growing business segments/Units
• Develop fair and ambitious goals for department associates to help develop their skillset by providing constant guidance and feedback

Qualifications:

• A degree from an accredited university or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Knowledge of Transportation, Logistics, and Distribution (highly desired)
• A strong sense of curiosity and keen attention to detail.
• Strong understanding of Finance/Accounting concepts
• Strong understanding of Administration: AR/AP/Payroll/Billing
• 5-7+ years of experience working in various capacities of increasing responsibilities
• 5-7+ years of leadership experience, managing team members in an analytical capacity.
• A strong understanding of Budgeting/Forecasting process
• Strong desire to learn and enhance current skillset, and always looking for efficiencies
• Possesses a high degree of emotional Intelligence. Using a collaborative approach, enjoys developing people, fosters an open and empathetic culture, and cultivates a high level of employee morale.
• Ability to work with all levels of associates in all departments, with the ability to clearly explain complex topics in an easy-to-understand and friendly manner.
• Mastery of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite (VBA knowledge a big plus)
• Python Coding knowledge (a plus)
• Power BI and SQL knowledge (a plus)
• Willingness to travel to specified building locations throughout the country (both East and West Coast) (10-15%)
